AB Åkermans Gjuteri & Mekaniska Verkstad was a swedish manufacturer for Construction equipment, well know for their crawler excavators and mobile excavators. The fabrication of Akerman´s Excavators began in 1939 until in 1991 the company was sold to another swedish Construction Machinery Brand : the Volvo Group. A few years later Volvo completed his excavator line with the acquisition of the Construction Equipment division of Samsung Heavy Industries.
